How To Set Up A Minecraft Java Server
When setting up an Minecraft server, there are plenty of possibilities. This guide will show you how to create a Survival Multiplayer Server with no mods. We'll be releasing additional guides in the coming months on how to start a server with mods.
Create a Vanilla Survival Multiplayer Server (MSP)
Follow these steps and you'll have a public Minecraft Java server running in the shortest amount of time.
1. Download and install Java
You can download the most recent version of Java from Oracle.
2. Download the Minecraft Server from the official Minecraft Server

3. Minecraft eggwars servers Create a folder for your Minecraft server
You can name the folder and then place it wherever you like. It should be easy to find and easy to find. I love calling the server folder minecraft and place it in my User/Home folder.
4. Create your Minecraft server folder
Transfer the server.jar file you downloaded into your minecraft folder
On Windows: create a new file named run.bat. Making the batch (.bat) file in windows
On MacOS or Linux Create an entirely new file called run.sh.

5. Create your server and agree to the EULA
Let's start with the server now that you have your run file.
On Windows Double click on your run.bat folder.
On MacOS or Linux you can open the terminal to your minecraft server folder and run bash ./run.sh.
The command line should show some logs and your minecraft server folder should be filled with new files and folders. Find and open the eual.txt file. Replace the eula=false line with the value eula=true.
6. Connect to your server by running the following command
Now with the eula accepted restart your server following the same process as in 5.. Open Minecraft and connect directly using 127.0.0.1:25565. Make sure your server is up and running If you're not able to connect. 7. Make your server public
