Minecraft can be played either alone or with a few friends, making the gaming experience even more fun and delightful. There are various ways to set up a multiplayer game, each having its pros and cons. It is easy to set up a multiplayer game, but it will vary depending on where they are located and the distance between them.

Two official Minecraft editions are Java and Bedrock. The Bedrock edition (formerly Pocket Edition) is available on many platforms including Android, iOS, Windows 10, Xbox One and PS4.

It is important to keep certain things in mind before you create a multiplayer gaming experience. All the players trying to connect should have the same version of the game, and they all should have the same edition of Minecraft (Java or Bedrock). Once these demands are met, the users can set up a multiplayer game.

Minecraft offers gamers four ways to create a multiplayer game.

Minecraft PE: Connecting with friends

1) Sending an invite to a friend

Gamers can either invite their friends or connect with their friends by sending them an invitation. It is easy to use this feature. Users simply need to open the title and then enter the world they wish to invite. Once they are in the world, they need to send an invitation.

Xbox Live friends can be added to Minecraft, and in case the friend's name is not showing, players can add them through their gamer tag.

2) LAN configuration

To play a multiplayer game via this method, users must be connected to the same Wi-Fi network. Once they are connected, they can launch the game. Next, they must go to the multiplayer settings to enable the Visible to Local Players option.

The host can then launch it, and their friends can also join the game by clicking the Play button. They will be taken to the Play menu. You can navigate to the Friends section of the page, and you will see the corresponding LAN-game.

3) Joining online server

To connect to an online Minecraft server in Minecraft Bedrock players must know the server name, address/URL, as well as the port number. Once they have these details, users need to open the game, select Play, and navigate to Servers through the Play Menu, where a bunch of servers will already be present.

Gamers have the option to join any of these server or to add another one. Scroll down to find Add Server. Players can join any server by filling in the details. i do what the voices in my head tell me

They can browse MinecraftPocket-Servers or Minecraftlist.org to find and join the server they feel best suits them.

4) Minecraft Realms

Minecraft Realm provides the best multiplayer experience, offering users a variety of worlds to explore, while also allowing them the ability to create and host games.

You can host up to 10 gamers simultaneously on the server. The best part is that other players can still play freely even if the host is not online.

Creating Realms in Minecraft Bedrock Edition is quite easy. Players have to open their Play menu, and in Worlds, just below the Create New button, the Realms option will be seen. Once the realm is created users will need to invite their friends.

Realms can only accept people who are invited. Once they have accepted the invitation, gamers can navigate to the Friends section in the Play menu. You will see the Realm name that they have been invited and you can tap it to enter.
