Delaware Insurance Code section 7 provides details on the fertilization procedures and coverage provided to the couples undergoing IVF services. The policy states that the couple must be a biological parent and of the same, there should be a co-parent agreement in force. There is also a provision under the code which states that the embryos shall be carried only by the woman, unless the woman and the man are married or cohabiting as defined by law.

The provision on the embryos not being carried by the woman is in effect from the moment of conception and applies to all forms of infertility treatment under the Code. In some cases the co-parent clause may be waived in case of an abortion or miscarriage. Under normal circumstances an embryo transfer is only possible when the woman undergoes IVF. This is mainly because of the high rate of failure associated with such treatments. According to the Delaware insurance code section 7, the procedure for carrying the embryo to term is referred to as "in vitro fertilization". Under normal circumstances the fertilized egg should be transferred to the uterus of the woman who is the patient, followed by the extraction of the embryo for testing and then implantation back into the womb of the patient.

In case the fertilization does not succeed, the process of retrieving the embryo and the implantation back into the uterus is again covered under the provisions of the Delaware insurance Code. If successful ovulation induction procedure is carried out, then the process of implantation on the woman's womb is covered under the provisions of the insurance Code. In this regard, it is necessary to note that the term "in vitro fertilization" is not defined. It means carrying artificial elements in an in vitro manner. Such an act is not covered under the provisions of the insurance Code.

The term "infertile" refers to the inability to conceive and/or sustain a pregnancy after one year of regular intercourse without the use of contraceptives. This is different from the term "infertility" as it covers those with conditions such as genetic disorders that hinder the ability of a person to conceive. It is also necessary to note that "infertile" is not a medical condition and therefore policies providing coverage for infertility are not subject to the policyholder's medical history.

Pregnancy is covered as a health issue under the provisions of different policies provided by different insurance companies. In 350z insurance , there are two types of PPOs available. One provides coverage only when a patient seeks a doctor's help for an intended pregnancy while the other provides coverage if the patient faces problems during the course of the pregnancy due to physical or psychological causes.

Infertility treatment can be done individually or in group sessions under the management of infertility centers. An individual may have the procedure performed by a specialist. Some insurance companies provide this option as a choice. They usually charge a co-payment which is based on the cost of the procedure. Group therapy is a good alternative for those who can afford it as each person in a group has the same opportunity of getting fertility treatment.

There are also several other insurance options provided by different Delaware insurance codes. These include chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and emphysema. Both of these conditions require constant monitoring of the policyholder must be recertified every two years or as needed. Emphysema is usually treated with monthly oxygen therapy at a facility that accepts Medicare. COPD is managed by a specialist either through COBRA or privately.
