It's likely that Minecraft will be able to meet its August release date on PS4 after it did not pass Sony's certification tests. It's now back to the fixing board for 4J Studios, and the team will need to submit the game for certification before it is released.

4J has been hard at work fixing bugs and resolving issues throughout the month. This isn't only for the PS4 version, but also for the upcoming Xbox One/Vita releases. We've contacted the studio to confirm a delay, and if it will be limited to the PS4 version or other platforms too. The three ports are scheduled to be released this month.

Sony found some issues we need to fix during their final test of #MinecraftPS4 :( We're fixingit, but we'll have to go through the process over again.

- 4J Studios (@4JStudios) August 20, 2014 When they release the shelves, the Xbox One and PS4 versions of Mojang's somewhat popular game will be priced at $20 on digital storefronts. Xbox 360 and PS3 owners can upgrade to Xbox One or PS4 for $5. This offer will be valid at least one year following the release date. As for what's new in the new versions expect larger worlds and more draw distance than previous console releases.

For the Vita version it's cross-buy with PS3 which means that those who purchased Minecraft on consoles get the handheld port for free, while new buyers will unlock the game on both PS3 and Vita. Like other ports, the asking price for grinding your pickaxe on Vita is $20. just another wordpress site
