Minecraft Launcher Wont Install From Microsoft Store
I've tried installing Minecraft Launcher for days now, with no success. I've tried all the typically suggested strategies (e.g. home windows updates, wsreset, reregistering the store, and many others.).
I'm down to the purpose where I discovered where to search out the logs to try to get some extra *technical* help.....
Symptoms:
* Downloading worked high-quality
* When on the Minecraft Launcher page and clicking the "Set up" button, nothing (!) occurs
* When within the library listing, and clicking the "cloud" icon in the Minecraft Launcher row, it starts spinning for a while, then stops and reverts to the "cloud" icon
Wanting on the logs, here is my general impression:
* There's an awful lot of "Error: The operation accomplished efficiently.", which sounds a bit weird (although might be okay)
* There is a bunch of "Error: Unknown HResult Error code: 0xefffffff"
* A single "Error: A specified logon session doesn't exist. It may already have been terminated." Liberty
* A bunch of "Error: Unknown HResult Error code: 0x89245104"
* A bunch of "Error: The parameter is wrong."
Notes:
* I am a software program engineer myself (which is why after following a number of 20-steps-to-repair-microsoft-store or whatevers, I began to look for logs as a substitute), so some insights into how to repair these specific, obvious mentions of errors in the logs could be very a lot appretiated.
* I've included the full logs from one try down beneath, and changed some stuff that sounded like account IDs and so on. by REDACTED_FOR_Privacy
* Logs are retrieved from the Occasion Viewer
* If there's group assist Based mostly ON THE ERRORS FROM THE LOGS, that may of course be tremendously appreciated, however I am fairly sure that at this point, the assistance should be from actual Microsoft employees, as a result of solely they will have entry to the code (or at the very least know who to contact, understanding software program engineers, they're not exposing themselves in any ways to end customers ;) )
* Actual home windows version is Microsoft Home windows 10 Professional, construct Model 10.0.19044 Build 19044
* Hardware is a Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Extreme
