It is understood that the mac launcher does not work, minecraft crashes on launch.

The total process for launching correctly is 1. Save the launcher jar on the Desktop in a folder known as ftb2. Open terminal and sort

There's a plan (I'm fairly sure) to launch the launcher in software format for mac that will do this. (Will likely be linked changing the crossed out space on the first publish). However, good answer.

Just like with Vanilla server you can make a launch.command file Heres a one I threw collectively based on the code above

Just unzip and drop it into the identical folder you have the FTB.jar in and double click. MINECRAFT SERVERS In case you get an error saying it doesn't have permission, open a new terminal window kind in with out the quotes "sudo chmod +x (drag launch.command here)" then hit enter. Ensure that you may have a space between the "+x" and the file path.

Have any of you tried simply beginning it with this: Code: cd ~/Desktop/ftb/ java -jar FTB_Launcher.jar

This has worked for me. I discover it weird though that the game can not run with out beginning it this way. Especially because it doesn't throw any errors, however simply closes... Have anybody investigated the trigger for the odd habits when launching the jar by double clicking it, or is it still a mystery why it acts the best way it does?

I do know of the issues with LWJGL, have been following the event of that thread for a while.. wanna get the new version. The one that ships with Minecraft has a nasty memoryleak in the case of age-altering in Mystcraft (probably also Nether/End, however unsure)

You can open the terminal in two ways: - Go to Finder, click on on "Applications", scroll down to "Utilities" and double click to open it. Scroll down to "Terminal" and double click on it.- Hit Command + Area (to open spotlight) and sort "Terminal" (without the quotes).
