Installing Minecraft 20 In The New Launcher

A tremendous job by the Mojang crew for an April Fools joke, and awesomely enjoyable to play at instances when Minecraft 1.6.Four with the Dalek mod shouldn't be foolish enough. minecraft servers Notice that 2.Zero is Mojang's model of an April Fools joke!Now all the tutorials on how to install 2.0 are mostly for older variations (e.g. before minecraft 1.6.1), so i believed to myself: "how can i do that?"

At some point (i.g. minecraft servers As we speak) I experimented on downloading minecraft 1.5.1 in the brand new launcher and installing 2.0 in that listing. And it worked! so here is how one can do it:Step 1Begin by downloading 2.0, as a result of it is not supported by Mojang it is free! minecraft servers :D But also for a similar purpose, it is not on the Minecraft webpage. D:

If you would like the different versions right here is the information for all of them. Like perhaps you need the tremendous hardcore mode!http://minecraft.gamepedia.com/Minecraft_2.0

Step 2so now that you have downloaded it go to your launcher choose "Edit Profile" and obtain 1.5.1.

Step 3Now exit minecraft and get to your versions folder in .minecraft (please watch a video on YouTube if you do not understand how).Copy the folder known as "1.5.1" (without quotes) and name the copy "2.0" (with out quotes).

Step fourOpen the 2.Zero obtain zip file and put "minecraft.jar" into the new "2.0" folder (each with out quotes)

Step 5Delete "1.5.1.jar"Rename the information so that:"minecraft.jar" turns into "2.0.jar"and"1.5.1.json" becomes "2.0.json"(all without quotes).

Step 6Open "2.0.json" with notepad++http://notepad-plus-plus.org/and edit line 2 like so:

"id": "2.0",

it ought to originally be:

"id": "1.5.1",

All you must change is the numbers between the quotes. and leave the quotes this time!Save and enjoy!
